There’s often something comforting about tradition in the modern age: the idea that something with so much history and meaning can prevail into the future. Even as we’re connected more and more to the technology that surrounds us, it’s reassuring to know that those buildings, techniques, and crafts are being carried along with us. Cast aside any ideas you have of tradition being something that is tired, old, and stuffy &mdash these relics from the past can adapt just as well as humans to our changing social landscapes. Given a new lease of life thanks to some innovative thinking, traditions from cultures around the world don’t just survive &mdash they thrive.
